Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Pricing

How much does a session cost?

£55 for 60 minutes, £70 for 90 minutes. These are founding client rates.

What's the difference between 60 and 90 minutes?

60 minutes is a focused massage and stretch session. 90 minutes includes everything in the 60-minute session, plus a movement and postural check — useful if you want a fuller picture of what's going on in your body, not just the area that's bothering you.

How do I book?

Use the "Book a Session" button anywhere on the site, or book directly here: calendly.com/small-movement-lab. You'll get a confirmation and reminder automatically.

Do you take card payment?

Payment is currently by bank transfer, arranged directly with me after booking. Card payment is coming soon.

Before Your Session

What should I wear?

Stretch shorts work well, particularly for the stretch element of the session.

I'm not flexible — will stretching hurt, or will it help?

It will help — that's exactly who assisted stretch therapy is for. You don't need to be flexible to book. In fact, the less flexible you are, the more you're likely to feel the benefit. Sessions are paced to your current range of movement, never forced beyond it. Nothing should be painful — tell me at any point if something feels too much, and we'll adjust. Read more about the technique and its benefits on the Assisted Stretch Therapy page.

I'm pregnant — can I book?

Please get in touch before booking so we can talk through where you are in your pregnancy and what would be safe and appropriate. Some techniques are well suited to pregnancy and some aren't, so it's best to check first rather than guess.

Is there anything I should tell you before we start?

Yes — any injuries, medical conditions, recent surgery, or areas you'd rather I avoid. I'll always ask before your first session, but feel free to mention anything relevant when you book too.

Policies

What's your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule — no charge, no issue at all. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, will be charged in full.

What if I need to reschedule?

Just message me as soon as you know — with more than 24 hours' notice, rearranging is always straightforward.

About the Work

Do I need to be an athlete or very active to book a session?

Not at all. Sessions are for anyone who wants to move, feel, and recover better — whatever your starting point.

Can you help with a specific injury?

Tell me about it when you book, and we'll talk through whether a session is appropriate or whether you'd be better seeing another practitioner first. I'll always be honest if something is outside what I can help with.
